For those patients living outside of Alberta, HBOT Clinics has billing arrangements with several other provincial health insurance plans. We have treated patients from British Columbia, Yukon, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario. There are no user fees or copayments charged to these patients provided they have a medical condition approved by their respective provincial jurisdiction for treatment with hyperbaric oxygen.
Upon referral from the physician, patients are given a physical assessment to determine appropriate treatment and to evaluate for possible contra-indications to hyperbaric oxygen. An application for funding is then made to the patient’s respective province to cover the cost of therapy. Treatment will commence upon approval by the provincial health plan.
